Financial hold rules are configured separately for each campus. A hold is based on overdue balance after the fee due date and configured grace period have fully elapsed.

Choose the campus
Open the row for the campus whose policy you want to configure.

Enable the required restrictions
Choose whether overdue students are restricted from the portal, examinations, promotions, or the supported combination.

Review the overdue threshold
The current policy treats any overdue balance above zero as outstanding once the cutoff time has passed.

Save the rule
Confirm the campus policy and save.

Manage exceptions when necessary
Finance can grant a temporary, target-specific exception from the student account without changing the balance.
A temporary exception suspends only the selected restriction until its expiry. It does not reduce or clear the student’s overdue balance.
Student portal behavior
When portal restriction is active, a financially held student can access My Finances so the balance can be resolved, but other student portal areas remain unavailable unless an active exception applies.
